The 6'3" Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) has stated that the most gruelling scene she ever had to play in the series was in season four's episode The Children (2014), when she fought sword-to-sword with 6'6" Rory McCann (Sandor "the Hound" Clegane). She spent two months training three to four days a week with swordmaster C.C. Smiff just to build up the required stamina for her fight scene.
