25 years later, we remember with the Police bagpipers processing after Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. New York and the world honor the lives lost on 9/11, the heroes who ran toward danger, and all who still carry that day in their hearts. We will never forget.

Visited the Valley of the Fallen near Madrid—a solemn place of prayer, crowned by the largest Cross in the world and a basilica carved into the rock. With the Benedictine monks, we prayed for peace, for the Church, for Spain, for reconciliation. Even as some try to erase its meaning, the power of the Cross remains—unshaken, victorious, always leading to the Resurrection. Grateful for the young Spanish Catholics who brought me—witnesses of a Church that stands tall.
