I’ve hemmed and hawed over whether to make this post, and I’m still not convinced it’s the right thing, but I’ve had quite a few folks reach out to see where I’ve been. So…….I have a mass on my stomach. It is malignant. Much of my stomach was removed as a result of illness 4 years ago, so surgery to remove the mass is not an option. I’ve opted out of chemo and radiation treatments, as well. I’m not giving up, though. I’m going to take a holistic approach to the fight by strengthening my body and making dietary changes. The prognosis is not good, but I intend to give it my best shot. I won’t be posting about this part of my journey. I did post a lot about my illness several years ago, but that was after I recovered, my recovery was nothing short of a miracle, and I wrote about it to give hope and encouragement to others facing similar situations. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there will be a very hopeful or encouraging end this time. I am so thankful for everyone I’ve met, and not met, here. You all have shared some wonderful and beautiful parts of my life, as well as supported and encouraged me through some horrific moments. I am blessed to call you my friends, my family. I love you all, and I will think of you often.❤️ Keep fighting the good fights, and I will, too! Keep looking for good. It’s out there. And, keep GOD in your heart. He knows what he’s doing. My name is Genevieve. I’m Deb/Didi’s daughter. My grandfather had a stroke two days ago. Last night on the way home from the hospital my mom was hit by a guy who fell asleep at the wheel. We don’t know much except she’s not awake and they said she has extensive injuries. Mom doesn’t like asking people to pray for her but she loves music. Maybe if anyone can, please think of her when you hear a song today. Her phone was open to Come Monday when they found it on the ground. It’s one of her favorite songs.
