Theo Von wouldn’t stop bringing up Israel and on the third try, Joe Rogan finally caved and engaged. Von brought up Palantir’s surveillance operations in both America and Gaza, including unprecedented facial recognition tech targeting civilians. Palantir is owned by Joe’s friend, Peter Thiel. They also touched on Larry Ellison buying TikTok to push pro-Israel messaging, Israel paying influencers $7,000 per post, and the genocide in Gaza. Rogan sounded like an establishment mouthpiece at times: careful, cautious, like he didn’t want to say the wrong thing. It’s disappointing to see Joe take the “safe dissident” route. He knows exactly what’s going on, but instead chooses tired talking points, plays dumb, and even falls back on blaming China. Joe built his brand talking about everything. I guess there are still things even he can’t touch.

The point Rogan arrives at, like with so many stories now, is not that every detail of the viral claim can be proven. Some parts may be true, some may be distorted but partly true, some hidden and some may be lies. Once the land burns, the real question becomes who benefits after the smoke clears.

The way he sees it, the impoverishment of the West and the dethroning of America are not tragic accidents of war, but the object of the exercise. Exercise run by who? Some need to hear this: The lottery is a tax on stupid people. You are not winning the jackpot. Even if it were legitimate, the advertised prize is inflated and the lump sum is slashed. Then you pay taxes on top of that. Joe Rogan points out that Jeffrey Epstein’s company, Zorro Trust, claimed an $85 million Powerball jackpot and that mob boss Whitey Bulger was involved in lottery manipulation schemes. The same Bulger depicted in the movie The Departed.
