Sony admits you own your games... and here's the proof. 🔍 While Sony has argued in court that it is unreasonable for customers to believe they "own" their digital purchases, their own website uses the word "own" or "owner" over 25 times! Thanks to the community, over 30+ references have been documented, proving that Sony frequently markets games as property of the players. Full list available:

Open source only survives when people defend it, and with 1,200+ forks that have already appeared after threats over Bambu Lab-related AGPL code, what's stopping you from creating your own fork? The future of digital ownership depends on people refusing to back down. So get involved and fight for digital ownership. Link to the GitHub:

“Age verification” is being sold as protection. When in reality, it requires your ID to access the internet and opens the door to widespread surveillance. What do you think age verification should be re-branded as?

Ubisoft pulled the game, pushed a subscription, then took down the free tool that let you play songs you already own. Section 1201 makes breaking a digital lock illegal and could lead to 3-5 years in federal prison. Talk about a MAJOR problem! 🔓 Louis is organizing this Saturday in Austin, TX to do something about it. We hope to see you there!

“Hey babe, before we watch this movie, let me call the authorized DVD technician to unlock my DVD player.” ☎️💿 Yes, this was an actual solution suggested because breaking a region lock on a DVD player could violate Section 1201 of the DMCA. The wildest part? The Copyright Office admitted multi-region DVD players probably break the law people wanted an exemption for, yet still used that as justification to deny the exemption. Apparently, ownership is optional.
