James Cameron had already seen more than 20 actors for the role of Gib in movie True Lies. Tom Arnold’s agent got him a meeting, but Tom expected nothing and barely prepared. Cameron had him read, then brought Schwarzenegger in. The chemistry was immediate. Cameron decided Tom was perfect. Fox hated the idea. Tom was in the middle of a very public divorce from Roseanne Barr and the studio saw him as a risk. When Cameron announced the casting they said it was terrible. Cameron said he didn’t read the tabloids, he wrote the character, and Tom was his choice. When they still refused, he threatened to take the movie to another studio. Fox backed down. Tom got the role.

Its rumored that Sean Connery's character in the 1996 movie The Rock is actually an older, imprisoned version of James Bond. Matching age ranges, timelines, and skill sets help line up this theory. In The Rock, the FBI states that John Mason was a British operative jailed in Alcatraz in 1962 who escaped in 1963. 1962 is also the year of the movie Dr. No. In the 1963 sequel From Russia with Love, dialogue even mentions Bond was missing for months, possibly imprisoned before his escape. He was allegedly recaptured for good in 1971, the last year Connery was in an official Bond role. John Mason is a master escape artist, excels in weapons and hand to hand combat, and highly trained by British Intelligence. James Bond is just a code name and would explain why there are multiple people who go by James Bond, and why the Bonds use it so openly. Mason even uses exact dialogue from Connery's Bond era: "But of course you are" When Mason reunites with his estranged daughter in The Rock, it is revealed she was conceived during a one night stand, which would match Bond's history. Bond returned to the United States on a rogue mission to steal microfilm containing state secrets to use against the United States. His mission was a success and he hid the film in a church, but was then captured by U.S. authorities. Because the British government denied his existence, he was wiped from all records and locked away without trial. James Bond began a new era with a new agent, and John Mason ceased to exist.

Terminator 2: Judgment Facts -Director James Cameron asked Stan Winston to direct a teaser trailer. Cameron did not want the trailer to just be early footage, and so with a budget of $150,000, Winston created a trailer that showed a futuristic assembly line churning out copies of Terminators, all of which looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Cameron was pleased with this trailer, as he had fears about audience reactions to trailers showing Schwarzenegger returning as a Terminator (after the Terminator in the first film was clearly destroyed). The teaser ran over a year in advance of T2's release and was shown before another Schwarzenegger hit film, Total Recall (1990). -This is the only "Terminator" film to win or be nominated for an Oscar.
