HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM THE HEDMANS, THE McDONAGHS, AND THE GOURDES !! trust me — this herd did not wing it when it came to their Halloween costumes this year I am told Kaylee McDonagh and Marie Gourde spent a handful of evenings gluing trash bags to T-shirts Ryan and Yanni did have some concerns about their shoulder flexibility but they managed to fight through it I still do not know how the Hedmans drew the “keeper” straw but, apparently, they took excellent care of all of their ostriches even feeding them throughout the team party 📸: the Gourdes

Charle-Edouard D'Astous is taking his rookie lap here at Benchmark International Arena He talked about his journey to the NHL earlier this week ahead of his NHL debut tonight: “Quite a journey I would say but I always believed in myself and I knew one day I would be here and here I am. It has been years and years of working hard and believing in myself but I think I got rewarded for that.”

Brandon Halverson leads the #Bolts onto the ice for warmups ahead of his first NHL start. We spoke to Halverson when he signed that two year NHL contract with the #Bolts in February and we asked him about the possibility of getting his first NHL start with this team … “If that does happen, I am ready for it. I've been grinding for too long and I've been wanting this probably more than a lot of people and, if it happens, I can die the next day and be happy. My soul will be able to rest so that is kind of where my head is at.”

Conor Geekie, the 20 year old forward from Strathclair, Manitoba, is taking his rookie lap ahead of his NHL debut here at the Lenovo Center. He said he found out that he would be playing tonight before the team flew to Raleigh. "It's obviously a special moment. Coop brought me in and, obviously, said some words. I just ate so I was a little nervous about whether I was going down or staying. It felt like it was still in my throat a little bit. Then, he told me and it was kind of a relief. My summer goal was to make this team and here we are."
