In June 2018, Japanese wrestling legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger made headlines when he threw out the ceremonial first pitch before a Hanshin Tigers vs. Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters baseball game. This is the finish of a Bob Backlund vs. Jimmy Snuka cage match for Backlund's WWF belt. At that time, when I was announcing for the WWF, there were only two ways to win a cage match: climb over the top of the cage and to the floor or exit through the cage door. Diving from the top of the cage was reserved for Snuka, keeping the move special.
