Puerto Rico - September 23, 1977 - Roberto Clemente Stadium BOXING MATCH: GORILLA MONSOON vs ANDRE THE GIANT Jersey Joe Walcott was the referee. It took place in the outdoor stadium under rainy skies and was unorthodox by any boxing standards. Don't miss Monsoon taking a dive into a pool of rain water at the end of the video

Sometimes a day at the "office" can be disappointing. Like at WCW's Clash 17 when it was my job to introduce the world to The Ding Dongs. With bells around their wrists and ankles, this uncoordinated team proved to corporate execs (whose idea this was) that it is always better to leave wrestling booking to wrestling pros.

This is the finish of a Bob Backlund vs. Jimmy Snuka cage match for Backlund's WWF belt. At that time, when I was announcing for the WWF, there were only two ways to win a cage match: climb over the top of the cage and to the floor or exit through the cage door. Diving from the top of the cage was reserved for Snuka, keeping the move special.

On July 7, 1990 at The Great American Bash in #Baltimore, Ron Simmons and Butch Reed, the team of DOOM, defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton) in 15:40. The match was in defense of the NWA World Tag Team Championship (Mid-Atlantic-Version). Doom's music was one of my favorites.

On July 10, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland I announced one of the most unpopular decisions of my ring announcing career. The ringside physician stopped the FLAIR vs. LUGER world title match due to the "severe laceration" on the forehead of Lex Luger. The problem: the "severe laceration" looked more like a minor cut with very little blood seeping from the wound.
