POWER RESTORED Three transformers have been switched on in Tswelopele, Thembisa, bringing electricity to 387 households in the community. Each transformer supplies 129 homes, strengthening electricity supply and helping restore reliable power to affected residents. The switch-on was led by Minister of Department of Electricity and Energy Dr Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Premier Panyaza Panyaza Lesufi and CITY OF EKURHULENI Executive Mayor Cllr Nkosindiphile Xakaza as part of the Gauteng Energy Response Plan. #GrowingGautengTogether #GautengAtWork #EnergySecurity

[WATCH]: Gauteng Premier Panyaza Panyaza Lesufi clarifies the role of the Gauteng Traffic Wardens at a media briefing currently underway: 1. The wardens will cease to exist in the current format. This will be done in a phased approach. 2. They will now be repurposed to be part of the Gauteng Traffic Police and Special Law Enforcement UNIT (SLEU) and other strategic security partners. 3. To do so, they will be subject to extensive and intensive training for the next 18 to 36 months. 4. Those who can't qualify for this training will be assigned to municipalities for bylaw enforcement or the provision of security services in various government departments after acquiring the necessary training. #GrowingASaferGauteng

[WATCH]: “No family deserves to go through this pain” These were the words shared by Premier Panyaza Panyaza Lesufi as he visited the bereaved Mokoena Family in Ratanda today. The tragic incident comes after the community has been without water for more than three weeks which led to protests and claimed the lives of two residents. The Premier and Executive Mayor of Lesedi_Local_Municipality Mluleki Nkosi offered condolences to the bereaved families and extended trauma counselling to the affected families.
