I don't think anyone was more hard done by the draw than Ben Shelton. Defending SF points and getting Ugo Humbert in form. Massive win and a look on match point of the trait that makes him most special. Zero fear in his body.

Huge marketing day for the Djokovic x Incrediwear collab. In addition to the plane circling overhead, Novak made an appearance at the Tennis Warehouse shop.

The Alex Eala experience is electric. I can’t understand resenting it. I resent empty stands and dead atmospheres.

With Daniil Medvedev, the funny comes with a side of ugly. A default was a long time coming.

Won’t shy away from the question dominating group chats. Predictable dominance is almost NEVER celebrated in sport. Sinner fans should know it comes with the territory. With Alcaraz injured, the competitive balance on the ATP tour is not ideal, strictly for entertainment value.

This was one of those shots that might not look crazy to the casual eye... but it is certifiably crazy.

Played tennis on grass for the first time at the perfect venue. Here’s what it felt like and why it reminded me that surface variation is one of the best things this sport has going.

Jannik Sinner hits more leaping backhands than anyone. The low hands takeback he uses on that wing should make high contact points difficult. What you’re seeing is the workaround — leap off that right leg, raise the height of the shoulders and he’s eliminated the problem.

Of course Carlos Alcaraz can win the US Open. Don’t apply logic to those who defy it regularly.

What if tennis ball machines were actually smart? While in New York, I went to try the Aceii One for myself. It uses AI and ball tracking technology to rally more like a human, drill more like a coach, and provide feedback to the player. #PaidPartner

Musetti knows that durability has been an obstacle for him. When I asked him, a few weeks ago, what he learned from his Alcaraz matches last year, the first thing he said is that he needed to build physically. He looked to be in phenomenal condition this week until the injury 💔
