🚨 𝐍𝐄𝐖: Jamie Carragher on l chances of winning the Premier League 🎙️“If you ask me today, I actually give Chelsea a better chance of winning the Premier League than Arsenal. And I know Arsenal fans will hate hearing that. Look at Arsenal. They have quality, yes, but where is the mentality to go back to back? Where is the depth? Where is the tactical flexibility when the game isn’t going their way? You cannot win the Premier League every year simply because you have a good squad and finished strongly last season. The pressure is different when everyone is chasing you. Chelsea, on the other hand, have the hunger. They have young players who want to prove themselves, and under Xabi Alonso I think they can become a completely different team. Arsenal fans can keep telling themselves they’re favourites. Let them. Sometimes the team everyone expects to win is not the team that actually wins. And if Chelsea lift that trophy while Arsenal are watching from behind, don’t say nobody warned you.”

🚨 Arsenal legend Martin Keown on Arsenal signing Bruno Guimarães and Christos Tzolis instead of Morgan Rogers or Vinícius Júnior: 🎙️ Reporter: “Martin, Arsenal have signed Bruno Guimarães and Christos Tzolis, but many fans were hoping the club would land Morgan Rogers or even Vinícius Júnior. Do you think Arsenal missed out?” 🗣️ Martin Keown: “No, I don’t think so. Morgan Rogers and Vinícius Júnior are outstanding players, but you don’t build great teams by chasing every superstar on the market. You build them by bringing in players who suit the manager’s ideas, and I think Bruno Guimarães and Christos Tzolis do exactly that. “I spoke to Christos after he completed the move, and one thing he told me really stood out. He said, ‘Martin, I had other opportunities, but once I spoke with Mikel Arteta, I knew Arsenal was where I wanted to be. I believe in his vision, I believe in the football he wants us to play, and I believe this club is ready to achieve something special.’ That’s exactly the mentality you want from a player joining Arsenal. “People will always compare transfer windows, but football isn’t about who wins the headlines in the summer. It’s about who builds the best team by the end of the season. If Bruno Guimarães and Christos Tzolis perform the way Mikel Arteta believes they can, nobody will be talking about the players Arsenal didn’t sign.”

🚨🎙️| Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on rumours linking him with Arsenal: 🗣️“I’ve seen the rumours, and I appreciate that a club of Arsenal’s size is being mentioned alongside my name. But if I’m honest, I don’t think it’s the right move for me. I spoke with several clubs about their projects, and the first thing I asked was simple: ‘What have you already achieved, and where do you want to go?’ I respect Arsenal, but I cannot build my career around promises every single season. Every year it’s, ‘Next season will be different.’ As a player, I need more than hope. I want to compete for the biggest trophies immediately. I want to join a club where winning the UEFA Champions League isn’t a dream, it’s part of the club’s history and expectation. People will say I’m disrespecting Arsenal, but I’m just being honest. I can’t convince myself to join a club that has never won the Champions League when there are clubs with that winning mentality already in place. Football should be about ambition, not excuses. If Arsenal prove they belong at that level one day, maybe the conversation changes. But today, my answer is no.”

🚨 Mikel Arteta on Declan Rice and Bruno Guimarães’ midfield pivot at Arsenal: 🗣️ “The idea is to give the team more control without losing the aggression we need in midfield. Declan gives us incredible athleticism, power and the ability to cover large spaces. He can protect the back line, win duels and also drive the team forward. “Bruno gives us something different. He has the personality to receive the ball under pressure, play through difficult situations and control the rhythm of the game. His intelligence allows him to know when to accelerate and when to slow things down. “When you put those qualities together, you have a midfield that can dominate in different ways. They can win the ball, control possession, protect the defence and give our attacking players the freedom to stay higher. “The most important thing is their understanding. They cannot simply play next to each other; they have to move together, cover for each other and recognise the moments when one of them needs to step forward. “If we get that balance right, Rice and Bruno can give Arsenal one of the strongest midfield pivots in the Premier League.”

🚨🎙️| Jamie Carragher on Arsenal’s 3–1 defeat to Real Betis: 🗣️“I don’t want to hear anyone talking about Arsenal being ready for the Premier League after that performance. You lost 3–1 to Real Betis. A team Arsenal should be beating if they genuinely believe they’re ready to compete for the biggest trophies. And this isn’t even about the result. It’s the way they lost. Arsenal looked completely uncomfortable, and there was very little about that performance that convinced me this team is ready for another Premier League title race or a serious Champions League campaign. Imagine facing Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea or Real Madrid with that level of performance. What happens then? Arsenal fans will say it’s only pre-season, but every time a team wins in pre-season, suddenly we’re hearing about how incredible the new signings are and how this is finally their year. You can’t celebrate the good results and then hide behind ‘it’s only pre-season’ when you lose. If Real Betis can expose these problems, Premier League clubs will be licking their lips. Right now, Arsenal don’t look like a team preparing to win the Champions League. They look like a team preparing to explain another disappointing season.”

🚨🎙️| Arsène Wenger on Mikel Arteta signing Bruno Guimarães: 🗣️“I have to give Arteta credit for this one. Signing Bruno Guimarães is exactly the type of decision Arsenal needed to make. Bruno doesn’t just play football, he changes the mentality of a midfield. He brings aggression, personality, quality and the ability to control games when the pressure is highest. Some people will complain about the money, but Arsenal have spent years looking for that final piece to turn possession into domination. Now they have it. The funny thing is, rival fans will suddenly tell you Bruno isn’t that special. They will say Arsenal overpaid, they will say he won’t change anything, and they’ll probably wait for his first bad game to celebrate. But deep down, they know the problem. Arsenal have just added a player they would have loved to have in their own midfield. If Arteta gets Bruno firing from day one, Arsenal won’t just be competing for trophies. They’ll be making a lot of people very uncomfortable.”

🚨 Jamie Carragher on Arsenal’s 3–2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund: 🗣️“I’ll be honest, I don’t see a team ready to win the Premier League or the Champions League. This is now two defeats in a row in pre-season. Real Betis beat them 3–1, Dortmund come to the Emirates and score three again. Yes, it’s pre-season, but you can’t just ignore everything you are seeing. For me, the biggest concern is Arsenal don’t look like a team that has improved enough. They still have the same problems. When the game becomes difficult, they struggle to control it, and defensively they continue to give teams opportunities. Arteta has been there long enough now. He’s had the money, he’s had the players, he’s had the time. At some point, you have to stop asking what Arsenal need and start asking whether the manager is actually getting the best out of what he already has. Because right now, I don’t see progress. I see a team that could finish the season exactly where they finished the last one: talking about potential, talking about improvement and explaining why next season will be different. If Arsenal genuinely believe they’re ready to challenge Europe’s best, they need to start looking like it.”
