Hidden door within the library of a country house

Lissadell is a country house facing the Atlantic ocean. It stands like a sentinel in the landscape, in the shadow of the mighty Benbulbin mountain. Outwardly, it is rather austere, however inside it is a light and airy family home with far reaching views.

Over 1000 years old, a sad day for this old English estate as its family depart and the contents are dispersed. Passed from one generation to the next, the torch of duty and responsibility has been extinguished at Bridehead 1/2

The goal is to pass on to future generations, and if possible to enhance, the land of which we are the temporary trustees.

This country house in Herefordshire has been home to the Scudamore family for almost 1000 years. It is a testament to their enduring stewardship and commitment to this great estate.

Nearly a millennium in one family’s care. Built not by one generation, but many. Borris, home to the MacMurrough Kavanagh family, is an ongoing labour of love and long-term stewardship

To look after it, improve it, and hand it on to the next generation. Civilisation is when old men plant trees under whose shade they will never enjoy.

This castle wasn’t just built - it was pieced together from remains of palaces, townhouses, and castles across Europe

This country house stands like a sentinel in the Berkshire countryside. Both house and parkland have matured gracefully since their creation in the 18th century.

This house was built many centuries ago. Its symmetry, order, and traditional details has allowed it to mature gracefully. Weathering has only added to its beauty

Denham Place has graced the Buckinghamshire countryside for over 330 years. It was built in the year William III was crowned King of England. For centuries, Kings, Queens, and Emperors have crossed its threshold.

This country house retains its beauty, even in its ruined state
