DLR’s scream before the outro chorus - which only ever appeared in the video version of Jump - is in fact gone from the vid on the official VH channel. I asked Donn Landee about this. He said when VH was shooting jump, he supplied the latest mixed version of jump. Subsequently, he and Ed did a few minor final edits, & that scream was removed & that’s why the LP version didn’t have it.

When watching guitarists play, the eyes invariably focus on the neck hand. In Jeff Beck’s case, always look at his other hand. WATCH how deftly he manipulated controls and bar as he shows what a Strat is capable of sonically.

This 55-yr-old VH fan is glad he lived long enough to see this footage. Serious Elvis in Vegas energy from DLR here. Very fun to watch and he looks like he’s enjoying himself immensely.

Tremendously vivid upscale of Van Halen performing “Jump” in Fresno, May 1992. If some dude in Japan with a 💻 can improve the RHRN footage to this degree not sure why an official re-release couldn’t look this good if not better …

The Dylan biopic is everywhere so let’s flashback to MTV Martha Quinn Ⓥ interviewing Bob Dylan at Wembley, July 7 1984 She gets Bob reminiscing about how David Lee Roth’s Uncle Manny gave him his “very first job” by hiring him to perform Cafe Wha? in 1961.

Amazing newly released news footage from Van Halen’s appearance at the Oklahoma Jam festival, 6 August 1978. It was a scorcher of a day & fans definitely enjoyed themselves 💨

Before the new VAN HALEN 🏰 Donington footage surfaced, this clip of HFT filmed by the Beeb and broadcast in 1984 was thought to be the only professional film of VH shot that day. It offers a different angle of their high energy show! And lots of close ups of Mike A 😀
