Dr. Gary Nolan suggests that it's possible that some people suffering from schizophrenia could be experiencing something real. 👇 While in the West, we view schizophrenia as a medical condition, some eastern cultures see it as a spiritual or supernatural phenomenon. Recent studies have shown that in people with schizophrenia and autism, there is an elevated presence of DMT in the urine. DMT is a psychedelic that, when taken, induces hallucinations. Many people claim to see aliens or spiritual entities when under the influence of DMT and are questioning if these encounters could be real(there are some interesting studies happening with extended DMT right now as well). This would suggest that DMT may work as some sort of connection to other realms or deminsions. So, what are your thoughts? Do people with schizophrenia have some sort of malfunction in the brain flooding them with excess amounts of DMT, causing hallucinations? Or, are these people experiencing something real? PS: If you are suffering from any sort of condition that causes psychosis, please DO NOT stop your medication.
