The first time I played Combat Evolved, one of the first things that stood out to me was the Marines reacting when my Warthog caught air. It's a tiny detail, but it's moments like that that made Halo's world feel believable.

The melee hits have almost no impact compared to the original Halo: Combat Evolved, making every punch feel weak. Even more disappointing, the iconic Elite dialogue has been replaced.

"That is completely unnecessary." If you're going to remake an iconic game, why leave out the small details that brought its world to life?

Every floating bullet decal in Halo Campaign Evolved is a reminder that the original Halo: Combat Evolved paid more attention to detail decades ago. It's a tiny flaw... until you notice it. Then you can't unsee it.

This needs to be said: the music is the soul of Halo. Marty O'Donnell laid the foundation, those themes are its DNA, still echoing today. Mimicking his work without involving him feels like a disservice. Give credit where it’s due.
