I was just in Syria this summer and visited the civilian cities utterly destroyed by the criminal Assad regime. They did not spare neither mosques, home, nor innocent blood in their thirst for power. Honestly one of the greatest blessings about America is being able to help your children achieve their dreams that you yourself couldn’t achieve. When we first moved to the US, my family lived on $500 a month. Ever since boarding that first flight at four years old to move to the US, I dreamed of becoming a pilot. As a teenager, it wasn’t something we could afford and then as I grew older, the need of the time pushed me to become a lawyer to protect the Constitution. As someone who immigrated from a country that lacked the system of justice we have I learned to value the US constitution tremendously. Nonetheless, I guess the love of flying passed on to my son who today completed his first solo flight Alhamdulilah!
