So, ARISE NEWS brought this energy expert, NICK AGULE, just to rubbish President Tinubu’s administration efforts on electricity. Man didn’t just lecture them from the scratch, he also ensured they saw reasons why they should agree with all the President’s power sector reforms. He applauded the democracy day speech where Tinubu spoke extensively on the power sector

ABOUT AYO AND RUFAI EARLIER THIS MORNING ON ARISE TV RUFAI: There's no difference between what's happening to migrants in South Africa and what happened in Ogun State to illegal migrants AYO: I reject that basis. It is unfair to compare the two scenarios: South Africans are burning shops and killing migrants both documented and undocumented, WHILE the ones arrested in Ogun are illegal migrants perpetuating illegal mining. Dr. Reuben Abati is trending, and I took a moment to find out why. I came across a video where he gave his assessment of the rather rugby-style interview conducted by Mehdi Hasan with Daniel Bwala. As expected, the reactions quickly followed. But what became obvious was that much of the backlash had little to do with the substance of his analysis and more to do with the intolerance some people have for viewpoints that do not align with their preconceived narratives. What many of these online irritants fail to realize is that public discourse thrives on differing perspectives. Unfortunately, a section of the commentariat has been so conditioned to interpret everything through a negative lens that any opinion that departs from that script immediately becomes a target. In a healthy intellectual environment, assessments should be weighed on their merit, not dismissed simply because they challenge popular outrage or the prevailing mood online.
