Dramatic video Maryland’s attorney general released today shows the aftermath of a fatal collision involving police in Harford County. This happened June 9th on Pulaski Highway in Belcamp. A driver in a vehicle fleeing police slammed into another vehicle and started a fire, the AG’s office says. 45-year-old Tremayne Murphy of Edgewood, Maryland was pronounced dead at the scene. You can see deputies trying to assist the injured.

NEW surveillance video obtained by WJZ | CBS Baltimore shows more of the attack on a 74-year-old man outside the 7-Eleven across from Mondawmin Mall. -Store workers say the victim was a regular customer and did not work at the convenience store. -The elderly victim was struck repeatedly with a gun and other objects but keeps getting back up and is able to drive away after the attack, which lasted roughly 10 minutes on July 7th. -Police declined to speak but did say the man suffered minor bruising; they are still looking for 6 suspects who used an assault rifle and a sword. -The store was closed at the time but lit up. The victim may have believed it was open. Store workers think this was an attempted robbery. -Call 1-866-7-Lockup with tips #Baltimore #violence

A Baltimore landlord was sentenced today to 13 months in federal prison followed by 8 months in home confinement for bribing a corrupt Baltimore City finance worker with envelopes stuffed with cash to get rid of water and tax bills on his rental properties. He delivered the envelopes in the bathroom at the Wolman building next to City Hall. James Erny Junior lashed out before Judge Richard Bennett over how he could get no help to handle squatters--and claimed he had been overbilled on water at his rental properties in Baltimore. He called the city "The Wild West" during some tense moments at his sentencing hearing this afternoon. Erny apologized for his actions but said he was "desperate" to save his rentals from a tax sale. He said some became occupied with "squatters" and told the judge, "The city nearly killed me." Erny argued he should serve no jail time: "Being a landlord in this city is punishment enough." He'll have to pay almost half a million in restitution to Baltimore City and also to the federal government for a fraudulent covid-era PPP loan.
