Half the reason I'm excited to dive back in is because the behind the scenes doc for this movie is full of some of the coolest footage.

Sorry I haven't been around, in the last 4 days I wrote and recorded a 5,000 word video, edited another one, and did JASON interviews and marketing stuff. But... I know I say this a lot, but this Peacemaker video might be one of the best I've made. Tuesday.

Mark Strong always killed it, but watching this deleted scene has made me appreciate how fucking hard it must be to act in a modern Marvel movie.

This would've been a good scene for the narrative, but holy hell, the pure blind faith that any of this will work.

As you’ll soon see, we ended up not using this full take, but I’m still so amazed we got this all in camera. Truly a dream.

Love Brand New Day, this is still the best swinging. The perfect blend of crucial, defining character moment and spectacle, the shots they bust out are still so insanely unmatched. He's "learning" to swing through pure grief and vengeance. Too perfect.

Annoyed my partner with this many times over but Kyle Chandler has always been one of the most under utilized actors, not undervalued, the people smart enough to work with him know the brilliance he brings, but still, we do not give him the credit he deserves 56 times over.

This made me cry, did not expect that.

Born Again is the second MCU thing to say “Fuck” but does that go as hard as this? I mean, to be honest without trying to bait, I don’t think anything goes as raw as this in the medium.

I don't think I've ever seen this full thing until today (prepping for some Spidey videos).

I fell off the Arrow train after S6, but we do not talk about this nearly enough.

On a different note, nobody has talked about Caped Crusader Season 2. Even with the caveat of the 8 frames per second animation budget that the Company allows, the Matches Malone episode floored me.

Probably the best stretch of cape cinema. 5 minutes that are vulnerable, stylistic, and raw. To me, it's still unmatched.

Since I’m popping off. Charlie Daredevil finally swings from roof tops, which is perfect Daredevil, in concept, yet, this was shot by an indie director who made 1 feature before this back in the day and was clowned on.

Because I'm a fuckin werido, I take the movies I love and watch the cut without the full sound mix to better understand the craft of mixing, whatever, anyway, this is beautiful.

Here is an example of a scene that, to me, hits far better with a toned down score. I don't even mind the Zimmer most of the time, but Dane's performance is completely undercut by it. 1st is without, 2nd is with.

Tried to "restore" this tragic Smallville deleted scene, such insane filmmaking that they would pull off on a weekly basis. Insanity.
