When Magic's owner died, there was no plan for her... she was kept on the property for 11 months as a "guard dog" with no human contact. We only got a call once the property was up for sale and they needed to "get rid of the dog". Please don't think your family would do the right thing for your pets. This is a serious issue that has to be handled with properly, and if your family won't help, we will. Please respond the word PLAN and I'll personally call you. Eldad

These are the dogs and cats that are always left behind, and all they need is someone amazing to take them home. Many times we come across dogs that belonged to a homeless person, and that person disappears (many times medical reasons, sometimes arrests, sometimes some other unknown reason). Luckily, more and more people know to call Hope For Paws for help, and with help from LA Animal Rescue we brought Brenda's story to a very happy ending. Andrew lived in a landfill with two other dogs. Someone managed to get the other two dogs, but they couldn't get him. Finally, someone called Hope For Paws for help. When handling a rescue of more than one dog (or cat), it's critical to secure the most difficult one FIRST. Many times, people just grab whoever they can first, and it scares the most challenging one, which may cost them their lives. What a nightmare to be a homeless dog. 😓

A mom and her puppies were abandoned in the desert. Loreta Frankonyte and I secured them using a really cool trick, and on our way back, we got another call for help with a kitten on the freeway. They agreed to join us, and together we saved little Napoleon. Both videos are on our website: 🐶🫶🐱 Your donation will send us on the next life-saving mission!
