When Magic's owner died, there was no plan for her... she was kept on the property for 11 months as a "guard dog" with no human contact. We only got a call once the property was up for sale and they needed to "get rid of the dog". Please don't think your family would do the right thing for your pets. When handling a rescue of more than one dog (or cat), it's critical to secure the most difficult one FIRST.
