Important customs like communal mourning, prayers, and the gentle preparation of bodies have been replaced by a sense of urgency and deep despair. The traditions that once offered comfort and meaning in times of grief are now swallowed by chaos and the relentless sound of bombings, leaving us to mourn in an environment of unbearable sorrow.

He was born during the war at a normal weight, but his mother’s malnutrition and inability to breastfeed led to a drastic deterioration in his condition. Despite receiving a medical referral for treatment outside Gaza, he remains trapped due to the closure of border crossings. His family says doctors have informed them that his chances of survival have become extremely slim.
