As a Christian Zionist, I stand with Israel NOT because I endorse every policy of the current gov’t—abortion rates are tragic, Tel Aviv pride parades grieve the Lord—but because GOD has an irrevocable plan for His people just as he has a separate plan for the Church. Dr. Andy Woods nails it: “You look at Israel not as she is but what she’s gonna be... a totally 100% regenerated nation” (Rom 11:26). Paul faced Jewish opposition everywhere (Acts), yet wrote: “As regards the gospel, they are enemies... but as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers” (Rom 11:28). That’s the unconditional Abrahamic Covenant—land, seed, blessing to physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Gen 12:1-3; 15:18; 17:7-8). God regathered them in unbelief in 1948 as prep for national regeneration (Ezek 36-37; Zech 12:10). When that’s complete, “Thy kingdom come” (Matt 6:10)—the long-awaited Messianic Kingdom on earth.
