When asked if the girl group characters were based on real people, he said, "During meetings, many Korean singers were also referenced for the group’s gestures and performances. The director was trying to explain the performances to foreign artists and was wondering who to use as a reference." When CL was brought up as an example, the director noted that Hwasa was actually the more fitting reference. The team had also put together a compilation of Hwasa’s songs and performances as reference material.
