He drove recklessly while attempting to evade arrest and then resisted our officers once they stopped him. Our officers saw open intoxicant containers in the vehicle and a six-pack of alcohol on the vehicle’s floor. They also determined that he entered the U.S. illegally, so he’s now in ICE custody.

Martin allegedly grabbed and ripped the special agent’s clothing and then followed the agent, with others, to a government-issued vehicle. The crowd of people surrounded the agent, shoved him into the vehicle, and slammed the door on him — causing a two-inch laceration to the special agent’s forehead. If convicted, Martin faces up to eight years in federal prison.

Officers even walked away from her vehicle, thinking she was going to leave the scene. Instead, she remained at the location, continued to impede our officers, and found out the hard way. 18 U.S.C. § 111 criminalizes impeding or interfering with federal officers.

An immigration judge ordered Dabelus removed from the country years ago, but he had a HAITIAN passport and stayed in the U.S. based on his HAITIAN citizenship. So, yes.
