Hernandez Valentin Santos decided to put the pedal to the metal when an ICE vehicle was behind him in traffic — prompting the officers to pursue. He drove recklessly while attempting to evade arrest and then resisted our officers once they stopped him. Our officers saw open intoxicant containers in the vehicle and a six-pack of alcohol on the vehicle’s floor. They also determined that he entered the U.S. illegally, so he’s now in ICE custody.

Yes. ICE removed Jay Dabelus to Haiti. What the Associated Press conveniently left out of this gotcha piece is that he has dual citizenship in Bahamas AND Haiti. An immigration judge ordered Dabelus removed from the country years ago, but he had a HAITIAN passport and stayed in the U.S. based on his HAITIAN citizenship. So, yes. ICE removed Jay Dabelus to Haiti.

Officers even walked away from her vehicle, thinking she was going to leave the scene. Instead, she remained at the location, continued to impede our officers, and found out the hard way. 18 U.S.C. § 111 criminalizes impeding or interfering with federal officers.

Investigators estimate the street value of the cocaine plus methamphetamines and marijuana seized to be $100,000 to $200,000. Eight firearms were also seized.
