"I didn't realize that if the average year the money grows at ~10%, and the average return in the S&P 500 is ~9.7%, then all of the value created there is the money printer. That was startling.” - Tad Smith, former finance professor at Stern School of Business

Starting in 2026, the "exit" from Bitcoin isn't Dollars. It's Digital Credit. Wealthy holders rotate BTC → digital credit → spend the yield → issuers buy more BTC. Selling pressure becomes buying pressure. This may be the most bullish setup in Bitcoin's history.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been appointed to Director of Bitcoin Strategy at Semler Scientific ($SMLR). Semler Scientific was the second U.S. public company to adopt a Bitcoin treasury strategy, and now we’re just getting started. With a plan to own at least 10,000 Bitcoin by the end of 2025 and 105,000 Bitcoin by the end of 2027 through accretive equity and debt financings and cash flow from operations, we are determined to build one of the largest corporate Bitcoin treasuries in the world. Grateful to Eric Semler, Renae Cormier, Natalie Brunell ⚡️, and the team for the opportunity. I’m excited for this new beginning. Stay tuned. There’s a lot more to come.

If you buy 1 bitcoin on an exchange (or buy 1 bitcoin directly to cold storage at Unchained), you're not actually buying 1 bitcoin. You're buying 100,000,000 bitcoins. Values in bitcoin are something called 64-bit integers, where 1 coin is represented within Bitcoin Core, the bitcoin software, as 100,000,000 units. Satoshi didn’t suggest we can name these smaller units something else. He suggested we call it bitcoin. Similar to a stock split. The smallest unit is still called a share of Apple, Amazon, or another company, but previous shareholders might receive 2 shares for 1, 8 shares for 1 or even more. So 1 bitcoin really equals 100,000,000 bitcoins.
