It's not Michael Douglas or David Fincher's most popular film, but I find 1997's THE GAME to be an overlooked masterpiece. And if the beginning looks familiar, it's because it undoubtedly influenced the intro to HBO's SUCCESSION. The grainy, old-fashioned home movie footage paired with the elegant-sounding, piano-themed score is not identical, but is incredibly similar to SUCCESSION.
