The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored (Live at the Manchester Hacienda, 1989) Classic song from their acclaimed self-named debut album. Written by lead singer Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire, the track was lifted as a single in 1991, becoming a UK Top 20 hit. #Legends

Duty Free: Amy finally catches David & Linda together! Amy: "Not only has she got no TITS, her eyesight's defective as well..." Classic clip from the BEST episode in the series; topped the ratings, even beating Corrie. All the best one-liners go to Gwen Taylor here. 😂

Liam Gallagher - Classic Moments on the Jonathan Ross Show Montage of clips featuring songwriter & lead singer of #Oasis. Some funny moments here! 🤣@LiamGallagher #Legend

The Young Doctors - A young Russell Crowe (1977) Ha who remembers this Aussie soap which ran from 1976 -1982? Used to be on ITV over 30 years ago. Ran for nearly 1400 episodes & set in the Albert Memorial Hospital. Check out the young Russell Crowe in a very early role!

A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray (1988) Still one of my all-time favourites! Was in the UK Singles Top 100 Chart for 18 weeks, peaking at #12. In '89 Music Week and the British Phonographic Industry awarded the track Best Selling Independent Single of 1989. Hacienda anthem.

Maxi Priest - Close To You (1990) Lead single from the British reggae singer's fifth album, Bonafide. Blending pop/R&B styles with a reggae slant, the song was an international hit: Reached #7 in the UK, #2 Australia & topped the US Hot 100. Video directed by Geoffrey Barish.

Everything But The Girl - Missing (Todd Terry Remix 1995) Classic!! Now I'm sure many will agree this one never gets old?! Although commercially unsuccessful on its first release, the Todd Terry remix helped propel the song into a global hit. Spent a year on the US Hot 100!❤️

The Temptations - Get Ready (1966) Written by Smokey Robinson, this infectious Temptations classic, featuring Eddie Kendricks on lead vocals, deserved far higher than its #29 peak on the US Hot 100. However, the single did top the Soul Chart & went top 10 in the UK too.

Adamski - Killer (1990) Classic acid house. Recorded for Adamski's second album, Doctor Adamski's Musical Pharmacy, the track famously features a captivating vocal by Seal. The Gold-selling single rocketed to #1 in the UK, Belgium & Zimbabwe + top 30 on the US Dance Chart.

Diana Ross & The Supremes - Forever Came Today (Live on the Ed Sullivan Show, 1968) My favourite of their live performances on Ed Sullivan. An underrated classic, scraping to only #28. As well as a unique sound, Diana Ross is a mesmerising performer with a hypnotic presence.

The Soup Dragons - I'm Free (12" Mix) (1990) Prior to its massive commercial success, the track had gained traction in underground dance and acid house clubs via this extended 12" mix. Features Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist Junior Reid adding vocals and toasting.

George Benson - Give Me The Night (1980) Class! Still a cool video too! Classic soul/jazz-funk, written by Heatwave's Rod Temperton & produced by the genius Quincy Jones. Patti Austin featured on those sumptuous backing vocals & Herbie Hancock on electric piano! #Legend

Youssou N'Dour and Neneh Cherry - 7 Seconds (1994) Classic duet by Senegalese singer-songwriter Youssou N'Dour & Neneh Cherry. The song, written by the two of them, was recorded for N'Dour's seventh album, The Guide (Wommat). Top 10 hit in many countries inc UK and #1 France.

Treasure Hunt (South Glamorgan) - Anneka Rice rides the log flumes for the first clue (1985) Ha who used to watch Treasure Hunt? Was always good fun, loved it. Obviously we were all living in a different world back then so what looks very dated now was all high tech then!

Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy 1991) Masterpiece! Haunting, sombre, entrancing trip hop, it was lifted as the second single (under their temporary name Massive due to the Gulf War) from their debut album, Blue Lines. Certified Platinum in UK sales & #1 in Netherlands.❤️

C.A.T.S Eyes - Jill Gascoine, Leslie Ash & Tracy-Louise Ward (1987) Dubbed "Britain's Charlie's Angels", this was a spin-off of the gritty The Gentle Touch but C.A.T.S Eyes was lighter, more action-oriented (& silly). Clip from what I thought was the best episode in the series.

The Housemartins - Caravan of Love (#TOTP 1986) Originally recorded by R&B group Isley-Jasper-Isley, the second half of the Isley Brothers' 3 + 3 line-up of the 1970s, The Housemartins cover became the second a cappella recording to hit the top of the UK Singles Chart. ❤️

Neighbours - Paul, Scott & Mike in big car crash! (1986) 40 years ago! Can't help laughing at the dramatic incidental music during the crash. 😂All kids back then LOVED Neighbours - BBC1 5.35 Mon-Fri! Check out young Guy Pearce as Mike Young; I used to like his character.

Rita, Sue and Bob Too - "Make your own fucking tea!" I love this scene Michelle Holmes with Sue & Rita dancing to Bananarama; truly captures the 80s. 😂Classic end to the scene with Lesley Sharp delivering the memorable one-liner in such an understated way it was perfect! 😂

Men Behaving Badly - The First Episode (1992) The first-ever scene. Before moving to the BBC and Neil Morrisey joining the cast, the first series of the sitcom by Simon Nye was on ITV and starred Harry Enfield alongside Martin Clunes, Caroline Quentin and Leslie Ash.

Duty Free: Amy finally catches David & Linda together! Amy: "Not only has she got no TITS, her eyesight's defective as well..." Classic clip from the BEST episode in the series; topped the ratings, even beating Corrie. All the best one-liners go to Gwen Taylor here. 😂
