Faithless - Insomnia (Live on Later With Jools Holland - 1997) This was THE club anthem at the time. Came out when I was 16. Apparently Maxi Jazz wrote the spoken-word lyrics in under an hour! It first became a UK Top 30 hit but flew to #3 when reissued in late 1996.

The La's - There She Goes (1990) One of those tracks you can't believe wasn't a #1 hit. Written by the group's frontman, Lee Mavers, the classic song had first been released in 1988 but following a reissue it climbed to #13 in the UK Singles Chart. They only released one album.
