A woman in labor - at one of the most vulnerable moments of her life. Instead of comfort, she was mocked and threatened. She was told her face would be punched, her teeth broken, and that she would be choked if she screamed in pain. When her husband tried to comfort her by holding her hand, his mother ordered him to let go and he did, leaving her to endure the pain alone. Then, when the doctor recommended surgery, her wishes were denied. This isn't love. This isn't family. This is abuse and control.

This is how Indian women are treated in this country....worse than animals. A woman who went missing in the morning was found at night with her hands tied inside a locked room. She had allegedly been beaten by her in-laws & husband, tied up, confined, and kept alive on scraps of bread. Her family eventually found her after searching for hours.

11 months ago, a mother said goodbye to her daughter Tanishka Sharma as she left for school-never knowing it would be their last goodbye. 💔 After losing her husband, Tanishka was her mother’s entire world. On that day, she sent her healthy, happy daughter to school, trusting that she would return safely. Around 11:30 AM, the family says they received a call from the school informing them that Tanishka had “fainted.” When her mother reached the hospital, she was informed that her daughter could not be saved. Since then, the family says they have been searching for answers. They have raised concerns about: • inconsistencies in the accounts of where and how the incident happened, • questions surrounding the investigation process, and • findings and information that they believe require a complete and transparent examination. The family maintains that Tanishka was healthy and active, and they are seeking clarity, accountability, and justice through due process. It has been 11 months of grief, unanswered questions, and a mother’s fight to know the truth about what happened to her child. To stop female foeticide, even the Prime Minister has to plead with people by saying, "If daughters aren't born, where will you get daughters-in-law?" Think about that for a second. The appeal isn't centered on the fact that girls deserve to live, it's framed around the fear that men won't have enough brides. In this society, a girl's existence is still measured by what she can provide to men. Doesn't this make you feel that, in such a pathetic society, maybe it's better if girls aren't even born? I believe sex determination should be legal in this country.

This documentary talks about female infanticide - how women were driven to kill their own baby girls because of the crushing burden of future dowry. It shows the horrifying methods that were used: some newborn girls had their necks twisted, while others were suffocated with salt. It's almost impossible to imagine the desperation and tragedy behind such acts. If a family had more than two or three daughters, many feared financial ruin. Even a single daughter could push a family back financially by decades because of the dowry expected at her marriage. It's a reality that has contributed to countless farmer suicides and has devastated families across social classes. Instead of addressing dowry issue more strictly government banned female foeticide basically punishing the parents that had unfortunate luck of having a girl child
