“There are no deadlines that the South African government has given at any point to Zimbabwe or any other country. What we hear are groups outside the official channels who talk about different dates. I just want to be clear on that matter, that in our communication with the government of South Africa and in our work, we are working on the voluntary repatriation of all Zimbabweans who want to come home with the collaboration and cooperation of the South African government. "The nation is advised that the Airline will resume operations by end of July 2026 and will utilise a leased Airbus A330-300 aircraft from Plus Ultra in Spain with combined 302 seats, having a configuration of 30 business class and 272 economy seats. The airline will initially operate three weekly frequencies between Harare and London on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. This positive outcome demonstrates the utility of His Excellency, the President's engagement and re-engagement policy and is testament to his continued commitment to positioning Zimbabwe as a a competitive destination." Hon. Prof. Mthuli Ncube notes that since the implementation of the NDS1, Zimbabwe’s gross national income per capita has grown by 84%, from over US$1,700 in 2021 to about US$3,200 in 2025. To achieve upper-middle income status, with a target of between US$4,636 and US$14,375 per capita, the country requires an additional minimum of US$1,400 between 2026 and 2028. While commendable progress has been made, he emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of strategies and policy reforms in the medium term to ensure the attainment of #Vision2030. #MidTermBudgetReview

Vice President Maj. (Rtd) Jessica Rose Epel Alupo said she was in the country on behalf of Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, in his capacity as Chair of the APRM. She added that her discussions with President Mnangagwa focused on bilateral relations between the two countries, and on efforts to accelerate trade and jointly market both countries bilaterally and multilaterally to attract tourism. The two leaders also discussed the launch of Zimbabwe’s APRM Country Review Report, with both parties expressing optimism for a successful launch.
