At a time when the Iranian nation is mourning its martyred Leader, it is deeply regrettable that Nikkei has chosen to reduce this historic outpouring of national grief to a twisted political narrative of so-called "societal disparity" and "international isolation," and to conclude that "maintaining the regime will be more difficult than ever." Against this stark betrayal of reality, let us ask: when the American and Israeli regimes unleashed their indiscriminate bombardment during the wars of 2025 and 2026 against Iran, claiming 5,000 lives and maiming 40,000 others, did their missiles pause to check for "societal disparities"? In fact, what occurred mid-war and during the funeral of the martyred Leader in the streets has been a historic national unity that transcended the so-called "disparities" upon which the article bases its flawed assessment. The Iranian nation is now precisely responding to these flawed assessments that created miscalculations against it during the two consequential wars, which ultimately shambled the global economy. As for the claim of "international isolation": in a world where human values and international law are easily sacrificed at the feet of those who conveniently commit coercion, lawlessness, and war crimes as their source of credibility, one can only expect the perpetrators to crown themselves as the "majority" and slam their victims as "isolated." The article, therefore, is a failure of both empathy and analysis.

Today, a group of Iranian residents and Japanese citizens honored us by gathering in front of the Embassy to commemorate the students of Minab Elementary School who were martyred by two American Tomahawk missiles. They presented flowers and prayed for the peace of the souls of the martyred children, shared tributes in both Persian and Japanese in mourning for the innocent victims, and wrote messages of support for the Iranian people—especially women and children—protesting the attacks by the US and Israeli regimes on Iran. We thank you for being a sincere voice for humanity and peace.

Last evening, Tehran time, celebrated Japanese actress Ayako Kobayashi, best known to Iranian audiences for her role in the NHK drama series "Oshin" (おしん), appeared on the popular Iranian TV talk show "1001." "Oshin" began airing on Iranian Channel 2 in November 1987. The talk show was an opportunity to celebrate the cultural connections between Japan and Iran. It particularly culminated in a moving reunion between Kobayashi and Maryam Shirzad, the Iranian voice actress who dubbed "Oshin." Shirzad explained that she imbued her performance with deep emotion, inspired by Oshin's innocent portrayal. The episode drew a large Iranian viewership. The Embassy had the pleasure of assisting in coordinating this remarkable event.

According to videos posted on social media, this group of patriotic and dignified Iranians gathered in Tokyo today to decently and peacefully protest the military aggression of the U.S. and the Israeli regime, the Japanese participants and the media covering the event were all subjected to verbal violence, hate speech, and constant insults from a group holding the flags of the aggressors. Remember the Truth Social post by Trump on March 12, 2026: "The US is the largest Oil Producer in the World, by far, so when oil prices go up, we make a lot of money." He is effectively trying to do two things: to force Iran into submission while simultaneously coercing the global market to rely on American oil and gas at inflated prices, for which he constrains the Strait of Hormuz. Iran shall not bend, of course. But he has no clue about the dynamics of the world energy markets. So, this shall backfire, but at the cost of others—in particular, the Asian markets.

While Western media outlets conduct amplified propaganda campaigns to dismiss these events as 'pro-regime rallies' in an attempt to obscure the reality on the ground, these are the same people who stood firm in defense of their homeland—even as bombs and missiles fell. They continue to stand resiliently to neutralize the aggressors' conspiracies. No disinformation campaign can diminish the grandeur of this national resolve.

It is both shameless and criminal for a U.S. Senator to implicitly threaten Iran with atomic bombs, citing Truman's decision to attack Hiroshima and Nagasaki as precedent. This is an outrageous fallacy and demonstrably disrespectful. The long-standing, miscalculated "fracturing project"—intended to weaken Iran—has clearly failed. It was recently exposed twice: first by the Treasury Secretary, who admitted that sanctions were deliberately engineered to provoke internal revolt by crippling the economy and hindering governance; and second by Trump, who revealed the injection of foreign agents and weaponry into the streets to collapse the nation. Therefore, claiming that the Iranian people "deserve better" and expressing sympathy for them is fundamentally flawed. Americans have been relentlessly attempting, through their economic terrorism and state terrorism—manifested in the assassinations of Iranian leadership during the June 2025 and February 2026 wars—to systematically deny such an opportunity and inflict pain on the nation. Regardless, the inherent flaw in the "fracturing project" is now evident. In fact, there is a country in the world with an unprecedented level of dignity, unity, and determination, as displayed during the wars of aggression, even under direct American bombardment. Rest assured: a nation aligned with justice and righteousness will never be isolated.
