Earlier this week, Holocaust survivor Walter Bingham celebrated his 102nd birthday. Born and raised in Germany, Walter escaped the Nazis at just 14 years old through the Kindertransport. But he didn’t stop there. When he was old enough, he joined the British Army and stormed the beaches of Normandy, fighting back against the very regime that once sought to destroy him.
