A population-based study in Ontario, Canada, examined outcomes for more than 28,000 individuals treated for a nonfatal #opioidoverdose and discharged from the #emergency department. Within 1 year, more than 1 in 5 had a repeat overdose, nearly 9% died, with nearly two-thirds of deaths resulting from another opioid overdose.
