TJ Dillashaw’s dart. The darting right hand covers the stance switch and puts him on a new plane from which to attack. He can dart in, exiting southpaw and turning opp or he can use the dart as a V-step and attack from SP w/ inside foot position, squaring opp’s hips

Dillashaw flashes the jab to hide his drop shift, shifts again to get to his outside trip double. Drop shift collapses space and gives him the outside foot position, second shift gets the driving leg in place and squares Lineker’s hips

They just don’t make em like this anymore

Feels like now is a great time to mention the nearly 10 minute video I made on Khabib and Islam’s top games and why “smesh” just doesn’t work in modern MMA

Rough month for us Gamrot fans. First Salkilld, now getting choked on top of podcasting equipment and someone’s dirty shoes at ADCC by a Lloyd Irvin apologist

Here’s a quick explanation video, but there’s a difference between feeding someone a single and only getting in deep enough to touch the lead leg on a double

Alexander Volkanovski, under the tutelage of Craig Jones and Frank Hickman, came the closest of anyone to nullifying Islam Makhachev’s wrestling. On Saturday, another Craig Jones trained fighter, Jack Della Maddalena, will hope to finish the job

True freshman Jax Forrest, who wrestled the first half of this season in high school, using cradles and old school Navy rides to score back points en route to a 19-3 tech fall on returning 2x NCAA 🥈 medalist Drake Ayala. Jax is the 1 seed ahead of this weekends Big 12 tournament

In honor of Cub Swanson’s retirement; a look back at one of the most violent finishers in FW history. 22 years as a pro, ya can’t not love the guy

Allan Nascimento counters Durden’s wild entry by folding an elbow over Durden’s lead hand, which he’d been handfighting with his own rear en route to a club-and-sub Anaconda choke. RIP

Makhachev vs Machado Garry, open-side kicks and handfighting

Justin Gaethje’s clinch work against Rafael Fiziev

He’s kinda right and I made a video about it. While there were some hairy moments for Jiří, he was largely winning the initiative battle and leveraged it excellently towards the finish

Dillashaw’s same jab feint drop shift brings his feet square before shifting into a right overhand this time. From SP he pivots around his lead leg, turning Barão around before shifting again behind a left hand, slipping the counter offering, and closing the door with a bodyshot

I put together a brief overview and analysis of Justin Gaethje’s dirty boxing ahead of his fight against Paddy Pimblett this weekend. Don’t let the narratives fool you, Gaethje uses his wrestling, just not in the way most would expect…

Benson Henderson counters Josh Thomson’s near side cradle roll through with an Octopus Guard sweep to quad pod and gets his own double as Thomson loses the back
