Watch Here 👇 Omar Abdullah Lacks Seriousness Over J&K Political Issues, focuses on National interests: Sajad Lone "If restoring statehood was a priority, Omar Abdullah would have united all parties, including the BJP" Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) leader Sajad Lone launched a sharp attack on former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, accusing him of failing to stand firm on key issues including statehood. Speaking to KNS, Sajad Lone directly criticized Omar Abdullah, alleging that his leadership lacked seriousness in addressing the political aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He remarked, “If restoring statehood was a priority, Omar Abdullah would have united all parties, including the BJP, to press the demand before the central government. But instead, we see no real action or commitment from him.” Lone accused the former Chief Minister of mismanaging governance during his tenure and claimed that this has carried over into the current political environment. “Even now, there are ministers and officials who misuse their power to target individuals, block payments, and further alienate the people. This stems from a legacy of poor governance under leaders like Omar Abdullah,” Lone stated. On CM Omar Abdullah's comments on Congress election results, JKPC leader accused Abdullah of mixing regional and national aspirations, calling it a “recipe for disaster.” He argued that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been let down by leaders who failed to prioritize local issues, instead focusing on appeasing national parties for personal political gain. Sajad Lone further alleged that Omar Abdullah has not taken a strong stand against the BJP. He said, “This is not about fighting for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It seems more about appeasing the central leadership, including Prime Minister Modi.
