This is pure humiliation of a working farmer. Mayor pitches up with a whole compliance circus, points fingers, lectures him on “illegal foreigners,” underpayment and PPE… And the farmer calmly asks: “Are you coming to buy butternuts?” That one question says everything. A man trying to farm is treated like a criminal on his own land. Disrespectful. Demeaning. Completely out of order.

This is pure March and March spillover in real time. A group in full red regalia (berets, “VOTE” patches with the familiar portrait, long coats) is forcing the gates shut on a sweets/energy spaza-type shop at 119 Rietfontein Road, Primrose (Germiston). Overlay screams it: “LOCAL SHOPS FOR SOUTH AFRICANS CLOSE THIS SHOPS. ILIZWE NATHI.” Ilizwe Nathi has already been active in Primrose marches against illegal immigration. This is the street-level enforcement phase after the 30 June deadline weekly pressure, door-to-door, shop-by-shop. The audio is blunt: “We told them they must listen, Bishop… We’re not playing here… Go!” Then the push to close the door. Classic intimidation theatre that has become routine in these actions.
