My Final Verdict. Seedance 2.0 Fast vs Gemini Omni Flash. Gemini Omni Flash just doesn't have a place in my workflow. Beyond the frustrating 10-second limit and heavy censorship flags, the style transfers completely break character consistency—with the likeness drifting hard and even changing my characters' race to Caucasian. The only real positive here is that generation speed is fast. Fingers crossed for what Google does next with Veo 4. Yeah, I understand going against the grain probably means my work won’t get featured by Google or pushed by the people who want everything to sound positive. But I’ve always chosen integrity over access or boost. If something works, I’ll say it works. If something breaks, I’ll show that too. I was just informed this Seedance 2.0 short film was selected to be streamed on Roku, Xumo, and other platforms in early August. It now has 55K views on YouTube with 3k likes almost 1k comments. See I tried making this short with Unreal Engine 5 MetaHumans. Studio wanted $10K just to rent the space and mocap suits. I paid an animator $900 for a test animation. It looked like crap. Last month, I used Seedance 2.0 and finished the short in 4 days. It now has 55K views on YouTube. If you still think AI filmmaking is about laziness… You’re not paying attention.

I either spend $10K plus on motion capture alone… Or I make the whole short film with Seedance 2.0 for less in just 4 days. Here’s the full 3 minute short film. A few things changed from the original version: I upscaled it entirely with Topaz Labs Astra 2, replaced the final chase sequence, and cleaned up some weird flickers that were bothering me. This is also the version I just submitted to a few festivals. I’m currently attempting to condense my full script into a 40-minute cohesive feature, but for now, this cut feels a lot closer to what I originally had in my head.
