The problem with PSR or SCR when it comes to Newcastle United is that the club can't afford mistakes in the transfer market. Last summer's window has turned out to be poor, but rather than being able to spend again, the first team is getting ripped apart instead. Manchester United and Chelsea have both had truly terrible transfer windows numerous times over the last few years, while Man United are in debt as well, but that isn't taken into account and they just keep spending. Newcastle have grown their revenues hugely since the takeover, but the club will never catch up unless the rules change. #NUFC

It seems the wider football world are waking up to just how good Lewis Miley is. Two outstanding games so far and Jaissle has made it very clear he's a key part of the team, and he should be. This will be his fourth season of regular Premier League football, and he's just 20. He's built himself up and now dominates duels in the air and on the ground, and as pointed out in the below video, he never looks rushed. I can't remember him losing possession, and every pass is delivered with care and accuracy. A proper superstar in the making and England caps are on the way. #NUFC

Nico Gonzalez would be Newcastle United's first real statement signing since Sandro Tonali. If they can get this deal over the line, the on-field project looks to be back on course and the way fans view the summer would totally change. From Maresca's comments yesterday, it's clear he doesn't have much a of a future at the Etihad, but he would immediately level up our midfield by huge amounts. Really hope Newcastle can pull it off. Bruno Guimaraes is the best player I've seen put on the black and white shirt, and he has a very special relationship with the fans. I genuinely believe he can play for Real Madrid or Barcelona, so with his 29th birthday coming up, he's thinking can Newcastle offer him what he wants? And on the evidence of top players leaving and awful second half of the season form, you can see why he's thinking about a future away from St James' Park. Would he follow the same path as Isak? I don't know with anything in football anymore. #NUFC

Now that the dust has settled on Bruno Guimaraes' move to Arsenal, I think it's fair to say that every Newcastle United fan is entitled to feel whatever way they want about him. To see him leave the club and still be in the Premier League is going to hurt, so I get all viewpoints on this situation. For me, it's not quite like Isak, but he has tarnished his legacy by hiring Kia Joorabchian, turning up the pre-season camp a few days late, but mainly because after the first poor season since his arrival, he's away. And as the captain of Newcastle United and someone who made himself out to be different to the rest, I would like the skipper to put himself to one side and have given us one more top year to help the new lads settle in and realise the club is in a tricky situation. I think then everyone would have wished him well in whatever he decided to do next. I just expected more from Bruno after the way he went on during his time on Tyneside. #NUFC

As I said last night, £70m offer from Arsenal is disingenuous. The price a selling club wants is never down to the buying club and Arsenal fans have been suggesting his age as a reason that is a fair offer. What that doesn't factor in is how important Bruno is to Newcastle United, and the record without him in the team speaks for itself. He is basically priceless. #NUFC

I have changed my stance on Bruno since Howe left and Jaissle was appointed. Initially, with Howe staying, I said we needed to keep him simply because Howe's game plan doesn't work without him. But Jaissle has never managed Bruno or had a system with him in it, meaning if the fee is acceptable, I am good for him to leave if he doesn't want to be a Newcastle United player anymore. Equally, if Jaissle convinces him to stay, then what a start that would be for the new gaffer. #NUFC

I don't really get the negativity around Newcastle United, tbh. Okay, if the transfer window were to close now, we would be short in a few areas, but Matthias Jaissle has promised front-foot, vertical football, and he loves runners in behind, which we have the perfect squad for. It is also a clean slate for a lot of players who didn't deliver last year or were patchy. I am hoping we find a way for Woltemade to work and Wissa as well. But it is Elanga and Ramsey I am most excited to see, I truly believe they'll be huge hits this year. #NUFC

It's Matthias Jaissle day! Newcastle United are about to embark on a new era, and there's definitely risk attached to this appointment. However, he's managed young players and big egos at RB Salzburg and Al-Ahli, while winning lots of games and achieving huge things with those clubs. Everything I have now read about Jaissle has me excited to see what happens, and one thing I can guarantee is that his energy on the sidelines and attacking football is going to get the fans going from day one. This could turn out to be a brilliant appointment in every way #NUFC

After another public humiliation in Manzambi choosing Aston Villa over Newcastle United, it is worth saying that Howe is to blame for this as well. I have seen quite a few pundits defend him for the mess that was last season and the summer so far, but 17 defeats, same tactics and no European football are partly why we are being rejected by players. Now, we had Champions League football last season and were still rejected, so it isn't all on him, and the lack of training ground, stadium or direction in the project are also to blame. But the manager didn't perform to the standards he has set, and it's clear players at the club and ones who could join aren't convinced. #NUFC

I think Newcastle United need to keep Bruno Guimaraes at the club this summer. Tonali and Gordon have moved on, so there is no need to sell Bruno, he has missed his chance. The club can't be seen to just bow down and allow all of our top players leave because I am not sure how that attracts new signings or convinces the ones still here to remain? This is more than just about Bruno, it's about the perception of the club in the transfer market, and I understand some fans are totally done with him with all this agent talk, but I don't think he'd do an Isak, so you get one more season out of him and have a proper replacement lined up next year. #NUFC #AFC

This feels like a huge week in the Bruno Guimaraes transfer saga because he's due back in pre-season training on Friday. If he doesn't turn up, I think he burns his legacy at the club, and it would be so much worse than Isak as well. Isak never gave off the impression that he was a Geordie, but Bruno has and is also the captain. I think we are all hoping he turns up and acts professionally, but if he doesn't, it is going to get messy. #NUFC
