Five passenger airplanes reached 800mph (1.04 MACH) after strong winds pushed the planes to insane speeds. One plane was a Virgin Atlantic flight from Washington to London. The plane hit 802mph which is 40% faster than a typical cruising speed (575mph). The winds reached speeds of 265mph at 35,000ft above Washington.
