I'm just a fly on the wall here, but does anyone else feel like the father-daughter dynamic between Leylah and Jorge Fernandez may be starting to turn a bit stale? This was their exchange after Leylah dropped the first set to Victoria Mboko earlier today in Strasbourg: "Do you want to play tennis or not? She (Mboko) is making Grand Slam quarter-finals - something you haven’t done in four years." Leylah just stood there before finally making eye contact with her father after the comment... I’m no expert in reading body language, but from a player perspective, she looks mentally and emotionally worn down right now. It may be time for a change. I always disliked player and family coaching. Especially in this sport... #CdnTennis #WTA
