If we’re talking older RPGs with GOOD COMBAT Kingdom of Amalur deserves a mention! 👌🏽 This game was MASSIVELY UNDERRATED for breaking that trend, great RPG systems and some of the best action-combat in the genre at the time 😮‍💨⚔️🔥 But yeahh, having grown up on action-adventure and hack n slash games, the combat in RPGs back in the day (like Dragon Age: Origins and World of Warcraft) really used to throw me off 😅 This game was a genuine breath of fresh air, and ticked all the boxes for me! 😌

Crimson Desert seems to have a case of mistaken identity among fans. Anyone else notice this?? Despite Pearl Abyss purposefully marketing it as an “action-adventure game” I still see a lot of people and outlets labelling it as an action RPG. Whose interested?? 👀 Lionsgate confirmed during its Q2 2026 earnings call on November 6, 2025, that a big-budget AAA John Wick video game is officially in development. Details are scarce but a full announcement is expected “soon”. I doubt we’ll be playing this anytime soon but it’s certainly an exciting prospect!
