Damson Idris is a brilliant brilliant actor , a combination of purified confidence and sharp instincts, presence and viscerality exemplified in the subtleties of this line reading.."Yeah...I know". Coogler has a distinct vision, one I trust without reservation, but that has no bearing on Idris's talent..

Acting centerpiece of the film. Plays like a back and forth match between tennis legends, hard swings, rushes to defense, grunts and yowls except they take the form of body language and facial tics and expressions. Brilliant stuff here, and look no yelling!

Widows Bay Kate O'Flynn I have committed your name to memrory and will now start the process of smiling ear to ear everytime your name appears in credits because not only is this a brilliant bit of reinforcement as to character psychology, but an incredible show of ability in its execution..

Ken Burns revolutionary doc piqued my curiosity about a show I had dismissed on sight - John Adams, and while it remained far kinder in tone to its goings ons than I would be, its sturdiness keeps it from pure romance. Besides that its a gorgeous show and superbly acted...

TW/ SA This scene, the entirety of it represents everything I love abt Industry as a show; the acting is phenomenal (this is amongst Ablela's best scenes) the writing same, but it's truly abt the imbalancing act of making sure their awfulness is always present ...#IndustryHBO

Folks ain't lying about the drop off in special effects and its not even just the quality of the look, but the ideas. I mean I genuinely dig LOEG, but its not exactly a masterpiece, and yet the care the effects team got to put in to have so much thought, texture, and life!

Theres no good age to lose a talent like Catherine O Hara, but 71 def feels to young. Everytime I saw her name in credits I smiled ear to ear prepared instantly for whatever new fold of human foible she would excavate thru her preternatural sense of humor and vivid expression..

Revisited "Thief" and besides the feeling that you're watching a masterpiece of documented delusions of grandeur in a state of neon melancholy -what also stuck out to me once again is Robert Prosky delivered unto us one of cinemas great big pricks... WHAT..A... PERFORMANCE..

I personally think this is one of the greatest monologues every written, but this scene is not just about the monologue it's about Glenn and what is provided in her face and in the ay she lets certain words linger around her face like fog, each one is it's own spell...
