ALERT: At least 15 security personnel were injured after militants opened fire on an Elite Police Force convoy in the mountainous Laram area of Lower Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The wounded include 13 police officers and two Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel. One police vehicle was destroyed in the attack, while security forces launched a search operation to track down the assailants.

Militants continue to hit strategically vital bridges in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. Following Bannu Suicide attack, the militants last night have blown Lwara Bridge near the Fateh Khel Police Check Post on Miranshah Road. The said bridge is literally critical connective artery between Bannu (Links Ghwara Bakakhel, Jani Khel) & North Waziristan. Such bridges hold critical operational value in conflict zones, particularly across the Bannu–Lakki Marwat–Waziristan axis. The damage hampers counter terrorism efforts while enable the militants' movement, regrouping & isolating the remote areas.
