In 40 years of ministry, I've seen an unfortunate pattern. Some Christians start strong but eventually their passion for God fades. I believe the key to avoiding this is a healthy, holy fear of the Lord. Get my new book today to discover the uncommon path to finishing well.

Jude warned that before Jesus returns, people would creep into the Church unnoticed and twist grace into permission to live however we want. But biblical grace is not cover-up grace. It’s empowering grace. Yes, grace forgives us. But grace also gives us the power to live differently. Before Christ, we could not live the life God called us to. But through His grace, we are empowered to walk in holiness, obedience, and godliness. God never intended grace to excuse sin. He gave grace to transform us. This matters deeply in the days we’re living in. We don’t prepare for Christ’s return by lowering the standard. We prepare by allowing His grace to change us from the inside out. Jesus said His return would be like the days of Noah. Not just marked by darkness, but by people continuing on as normal, unaware of what was coming. There may be increasing spiritual confusion and deception, but the greater issue is this: people are not ready. God is patient. He is not trying to keep people out, He is calling them in. There is still time to turn, to come back, and to walk in fellowship with Him. Sin doesn’t just affect behavior, it affects relationship. It separates, and if we’re not careful, it leaves us unprepared for His appearing. This isn’t a message of fear. It’s a call to be ready while there is still time. Watch the full episode here:

There’s something unique about the Word of God. Researchers had people read different types of books. History. Engineering. The Quran. The Bible. When they studied what was happening in the brain, only one book consistently changed the synapse connections. The Bible. This is why believers throughout history have said the Word of God is alive. It doesn’t just give information. The Holy Spirit uses it to transform us. I’ve been a Christian for 47 years, and I still open my Bible and find the Spirit of God revealing things that stop me in my tracks. Just recently I was reading Hebrews 2 and could barely move on because of what the Lord was showing me. This is what happens when we approach Scripture with hunger and humility. The Word of God shapes us, renews us, and prepares us for the life He’s called us to live. Follow this link to watch the full episode!

The return of Jesus is often treated like a future event to analyze or a timeline to debate. But Scripture presents it as something far more personal. It is the longing of a Bridegroom for His bride. When we understand the ancient Jewish wedding, Jesus’ words come alive. The betrothal. The separation. The preparation. The promise to return and take His bride to be with Him forever. Nothing about this is distant or impersonal. It is covenant love. The call of Scripture is not to fear His return, but to live ready for it. To remain faithful. To keep our hearts pure. To be washed and renewed by His Word while we wait. Not because we are afraid, but because we are loved. This is the heartbeat behind my new book, The King Is Coming. Not prediction. Not speculation. Preparation shaped by love. If this stirs your heart, listen to the NEW full episode of the John Bevere Podcast! Find it here:

Sin doesn’t just affect what we do. It affects what we become. Hebrews warns that sin hardens the heart. It slowly separates us from God and pulls us out of fellowship with Him. And if we’re not careful, it can leave us unprepared and even ashamed at His appearing. Salvation is a free gift. We cannot earn it. But Jesus made it clear that those who love Him will obey Him, and in that place of obedience, He reveals Himself to us. This isn’t about condemnation. It’s about invitation. Right now, you can turn. Right now, you can come back. Right now, you can choose to walk in the light and live in close fellowship with Him again. Follow this link for the full episode:

Church, we must now become BOLD in declaring the truth. John 12:24

Jesus said something powerful about gathering with other believers. He told us that when two or three gather in His name, He is there in their midst. Of course, He also promised He would never leave us or forsake us. But Scripture shows that there is a unique, transforming presence of Christ that we experience when we come together in His name. Yet many people today say they are Christians while choosing to live their faith completely alone. They don’t gather with the church, they don’t join small groups, and they miss the spiritual strength and transformation that comes through community. Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. God designed us to grow, be strengthened, and encounter His presence as we gather with other believers. Scripture tells us that Jesus will appear to those who are eagerly looking for Him. That kind of anticipation doesn’t come from hype or speculation. It is formed through a life shaped by holiness, reverence, and love for God. When our hearts sincerely pursue Him, anticipation grows naturally. Not with fear or pressure, but with love. The longing of a bride who desires to be with her groom. This is the posture Scripture calls us to. Not anxious about His return, but eager for it. An offended heart is dangerous. It becomes the breeding ground for deception, where we think we are right but in reality we are wrong. Jesus warned that in the last days, widespread offense would lead to widespread deception. His command to us was simple but costly: forgive as He has forgiven. When we breathe out forgiveness, we align with truth. When we hold onto offence, we open the door to lies. Click here to watch the full episode:

Following Jesus was never meant to be a casual relationship. It’s a covenant. Just like a bride on her wedding day, there comes a moment when you say goodbye to what no longer belongs in your life. Not because you are forced to, but because you are choosing faithfulness. Jesus doesn’t coerce. He doesn’t manipulate. He doesn’t violate our will. He stands with arms open, having already given His life, and waits for our response. The invitation is still the same. Not to flirt with surrender, but to say yes with your whole heart.

For years, I avoided the topic of the second coming. Not because it wasn’t biblical, but because it was often misrepresented. When I finally took a deeper look, something shifted. This isn’t about fear, dates, or speculation. It’s about transformation. When properly understood, the return of Jesus doesn’t produce panic. It produces faith. It doesn’t divide. It awakens urgency. Scripture tells us every believer will respond to His return in one of two ways, with confidence or with shame. I wrote The King Is Coming not to frighten you, but to prepare you. The King is coming. When I think about Charlie Kirk, I think of a man of courage and conviction. That conviction came from the fear of God, not the fear of man. Too many leaders today remain silent out of fear of what people might think. But the Church desperately needs voices that will stand on truth with boldness and clarity. The fear of man eliminates conviction. The fear of God gives it. Watch the full episode here:
