Realizing people might not have realized that by "flower game" I mean this end screen is a DIRECT reference to the book of unveiling in Destiny 2, which itself refers to a modified version of John Horton Conway's Game of Life; the book refers to this as The Flower Game, a zero-player game where the only move is the initial set up of the pieces and their behaviors. I think if this Durandal is the one from the end of Marathon Infinity, then perhaps he's found a way to influence the Flower Game, and is using that influence to re-write the universe to create a reality that allows his escape from reality itself.

I've been thinking about maybe putting together a guide of sorts for how to "correctly" play and enjoy the game, but in general I find there are about seven (very loose) Rules for success in Marathon: 1. Always keep your cool, especially when winning. 2. No pocket watching. 3. Fair fights are for chumps. 4. Map knowledge is a weapon, hone it. 5. Take your fights as slowly as you need to. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. 6. Alliances are good. Dead enemy crews are better. 7. No Runner left behind. No exceptions.

Like I really don't want to jinx it, but the game just consistently gives me randoms that are cracked, chill, or both. These guys had excellent patience and awareness, and played around the composition of our crew super well. I wish there was a way to teach everyone how to execute in extended engagements like this, it's super fun.
