NHTSA now sees things my way! The truth has finally prevailed. Tesla has one of the safest automated driving platforms on the market. NHTSA found Tesla is saving lives with its heroic effort to develop software that can be used anywhere and everywhere. NHTSA found the driver monitoring system fails to detect when people are drunk or otherwise impaired and that it has difficulties detecting when people are purposefully abusing the system. And drum roll please, wait for it… NHTSA found it stops for stop lights and stop signs and that it is learning and improving over time to provide even better safety! Crazy!! Mark my words. Human driving days are numbered.

I was driving home from seeing a movie with my kids while using FSD. Suddenly encountered a cop car with its lights flashing - the car was blocking off the road. FSD came to a stop and then tried to creep around the car while the cop was grabbing a gun out of his trunk. 🤯 I had to disengage to avoid pissing him off. I rolled down my window and asked politely if I could go through there. He said, “No, you gotta pop a U-turn.” That’s when I saw 3 police hiding behind bushes and waiting next to someone’s front door. A man came running into the yard where two cops peacefully detained him. Not sure if that man was the main threat, but I was off the scene from there. How should FSD handle these situations when a driver isn’t in the driver’s seat? Is it appropriate to drive through a crime scene when a cop shouts to you to not go through there?

Please be careful and never let your guard down while using Tesla’s FSD. The terms are very clear when you turn it on: “FSD requires a fully attentive driver who is ready to take immediate action at all times.” You absolutely need to pay attention!! Even the latest version 12.3.6, which is very good, can be very dangerous. I was testing in Chicago on Lower Wacker Dr two weeks ago and FSD almost killed me. It was going to drive straight into a barrier at 22mph. It could have caused a serious accident. This happened not just once, but twice. Second time going 27mph. Since I haven’t been able to get any replies or feedback from the Autopilot team whenever I submit data like this, I’m tagging all of the relevant people. There are 3 new changes for FSD v14.1 Lite (HW3) cars with Intel CPUs for the Summer Update (2026.26.6.5): 3 New Features: Automatic Navigation (new toggle in Navigation menu) -Automatically route to Home, Work, next calendar event or predicted destination Visualization Camera Zoom (new dropdown menu in Self-Driving menu) -Set the zoom to 0.5x, 1x, or 2x. Or you can pinch to zoom to custom. Previously it would snap back to 1x after about 1 second. Now it stays. Set arrival energy: -Configurable through the Tesla app with this update. Go to ‘Location’ menu and then set a destination and you will see it there. Mistake: Caraoke (scoring?) -A new update (blue circle notification) icon showed on top of the Caraoke icon, however, I couldn’t get it to score my singing. It appears that this is a bug for this release as it specifically relates to Intel cars. The Caraoke update only applies to AMD vehicles. Features not included with Intel CPU: -Grok is not there -New microphone and camera support in web browser is not there -new animation when you enter your car is not there

Here is GM’s Adaptive Cruise Control with “Lane Keep” turned on. This is a 2024 Chevy Blazer. I tested this as safely as possible with the exception of holding a phone to record it (sorry!). How can my 2019 Tesla Model 3 be so much better at this when it was manufactured 5 years prior? Please. Help it make sense to me. Please.

WARNING: ⚠️ ‼️ Please be very careful with FSD Supervised v14.1 Lite (HW3) when you get it, particularly with going in reverse. It’s called Supervised for a reason. This raises a really good question. Does HW3 even have the ability to allow this to be improved? If not, I’m afraid Tesla will need to add some very bold and obvious disclaimers for people using FSD. Otherwise accidents will be inevitable.
