🚨 Here we go again! Greg Abbott sent 42 exhausted, traumatized migrants on a 24-hour bus ride from Texas to LA. This is not relief, it's a dangerous political stunt! I'm proud of our city's response. LA welcomed these individuals, offering them food, shelter, and legal aid. They were tired, but they were finally treated with the dignity they deserve. But let's talk about the REAL issue here. Since last year, Texas has bused more than 21,000 migrants to cities across the country. This isn't a solution; it's a cruel tactic to shirk responsibility and pass the problem to others. Instead of attacking and demonizing asylum seekers, we in California focus on working with local communities to support and humanely welcome people. That's the kind of leadership we need, not cheap political games. As your representative, I will always stand for openness, compassion, and readiness in the face of unexpected challenges.
